The Voting Problems!!

During the last election I watch the news on Television mostly and read some reports in news papers and magazines about the votes each party must get to stay in office or get elect for the first time. Most reporters and writers seem to feel that all is lost if anyone running for office fail to get a substantial number of the Hispanic vote. They emphasize it when they start the reports and repeated it so everyone would know how important the Hispanic votes are to both parties. I watched the news and no other votes are mentioned during that news cast, at least not that day.

Mean while, during the last two weeks I have sit and talked with men that went to a council meeting after talking about the crime and drugs that is creeping into the neighborhood where they live. After the council meeting the mayor called to the two and asked them to come into his office and they met with the Mayor and the acting Police chief and was told “you did your job, now let us do our job” The day I spent an hour at one of the citizens home and he told me the problem is worse not better. This, in a city where the streets flow with milk and honey—well almost!

Once the news ended, I started to think about my plan to prove that one group of voters are no more important then another group of voters. To prove I am right I need the power to control an election just once in my life time, no, no not tell you whom to vote for, but tell you when to vote. When I say stay at home, you say, yes Jim, and stay at home and let the voters I assign to voting that day get out and cast their ballots for the good of this great country. Because we all want instant proof I will start with this coming election, by requiring the White republicans and the Black democrats to stay home and let the other good citizens take the noble duty and important responsibility of electing the people that will lead this country for the next two, four and six years terms. Starting with these groups will prove what I have said every time, well almost every time that some one pressures me because of my politics. Take the Whites republicans out of an election for a year, than show me the Republican Party. The same is true with the Blacks, but not to the same extent. But yes, take the Black democrats out of the election for a year and show me the Democratic Party. How many of you can see who will be wooed, wined and dined for their votes in elections in the futures.

Something is not right with the way we vote or the people we are voting for in the present elections. Maybe it is that flood of dollars that is washing everyone in the same direction. I am sure you remember George Wallace, Governor Wallace, of Alabama, stating “there is not a dime worth of different between either party”. or (words of that equivalent) maybe I should not say this, but I agree! If the Republicans would start acting like republican, better education for all our children, the right to pray and praise God without being molested or arrested, the right to teach our children to behave like decent human being and to live in a neighborhood free from crime. And let the Democrats continue to act like democrats, you would see a great improvement in this great country we live in and call home!
